The only version of Insurgo that is ever allowed to be globally released is the one named "Insurgo", containing the Gimme5Games branding and highscore API.

Accept no imitations.

EDIT EDIT: Frontpaged! You rock, Tom! Thanks NG crew! <333
EDIT: Daily second - Thanks newgrounds!

Build as high and as fast as you can in this physics-based tower building game, complete with an original streaming soundtrack.

(I answer all reviews)

Extra Controls:
Shift+click - delete pylons
Space - freeze time (if you have a full special meter)
P - toggle pause game
M - mute in-game music (if there's any streaming at the moment)
S - Shuffle playlist

FAQ:

Q: Will there be a sequel?
A: Yes! (eventually)

Q: Can I have the music?
A: Pm me.

Q: I hate the music!
A: Mute it. You're welcome to play your own music in the background.

Q: Can I have a wider base?
A: Yes. Build outwards. Pylons connected to the foundations are 5 times stronger than other pylons, so you can safely build outwards from the base. I would suggest you build up in two triangles, then out.

Q: Why can I join further than I can build new pylons?
A: Because otherwise, you wouldn't be able to make a straight tower. The maximum length of the join must be at least the hypotenuse of the right triangle made by the distance between the foundation points and the maximum length of a new pylon.

Q: You ripped off World of Goo!
A: This was released before World of Goo. Long before.

Q: Isn't this like Bridge Builder?
A: Once again, I haven't played it, but I don't see any trains in this game.

Q: Pontifex?
A: Whut?

"Fuckin' Epic"

date: September 11, 2009

I played this game for like 2 days when it first came out and finally got bored with it, now after a year and a half I actually remembered it and decided to come back and play again. This is a really addictive game, I can't wait for Insurgo2.

Awesome game! I only wish there were stages. Maybe in the sequel you could have both a sandbox mode and a stage mode. That would be perfect. I also knew about this game but forgot the name and had to hunt it down. You definitely should become a programmer for a computer/video game company.

"Needs work."

date: June 25, 2009

It's a graeat game, but I really feel that you could have doon better.
It's just that building an endless tower into the sky seems a little.....un-fullfiling.
Maybe if you were to provide stages with different goals and new materials to build with, and give us an actual architectual view point instead of the same old-same old criss crossing of bars,it could be cool.
Great work,it's obvious you have some real potential as a programmer.
I'd like to see more improvement on this game.

Author's Response:

The idea of a goal system had been suggested, but I wanted to keep it as a sandbox game. It really depends what flicks your switch - I guarantee if I'd set it with goals, people would've complained that they just wanted to build a tower.

If you're just building the same criss-crossing bars, though, you gotta use your imagination. There are much more interesting designs possible.

Thanks for the review (:
