Don't expect a great masterpiece(far from it :p), but when you know that all this game is made only with API, it's kind of a little challenge. I present it just to showcase. Have fun !

i'm gonna be completely honest with you now. i don't really like your series of games. This game was.... not so special, i mean you could have at least made the space ship shoot faster. You could have made different enemies. Instead of setting their function to (i guess...) cube._y +=2 or so;, you could have animated them. to make the ship shoot faster you could have just made three different animated shots and a Boolean saying after you shot the first shot, the second shot was true and the first was false, and so on. Last, i think you shouldn't have made it all in actionscript. You should have put in your own symbols and that would have made the enemies a little more creative. I hope you take these ideas into consideration when you make your next game. Otherwise, that must have been awfully hard to make in actionscript alone.... so kudos...

Ok... this'll be a relatively short review, but I would just like to congratulate you on the excellent coding in this game. I don't think there are many people here who could do something like this with just actionscript. Once again, congratulations.

Graphics: I didn't like them, but considering you did the whole thing in actionscript, all is forgiven. Maybe you should make a "proper" space shooter next, with updated graphics, more attacks, etc. Other than that, nice work (for AS).

Style: You get the extra point for the scrolling stars in the background. They added a lot of depth to the game. Other than that, needs a lot of improvement.

Sound: Nonexistant.

Violence: Ahh.... you shoot some boxes. Next time, either try to code some AI to fight back, or just draw some enemies. Don't just limit yourself to actionscript.

Interactivity: Well, I had a couple of problems with this. For one, the speed. The ship moved and fired way too slowly, and the boxes moved too quickly. If you actually draw it next time, please fix these.
Other than that, excellent.

Humor: Did not happen.

Overall, you get a 4.5. It's not worthy of anything higher due to the fact that it had no sound and very basic graphics, although it deserves recognition because it was made simply with actionscript, and has a 2k filesize. I hope to see this improved on, with better graphics, sound and more features. Keep it up.

4.5/10 (ALRIGHT!)

I always like to see real skill on the coding end of things. This game would fit on an Atari 2600 cartridge, AND it's in Flash (which is not the most efficient of space users). Good work.

...It's size is only 1.9kb, really nice job! Sure some people are saying the graphics should be better, but for the size of this file and how much work it sounded like you put on this, you did good.

I didn't know you could do that much with 1.9kb. I mean, you can't download a picture or pretty much anything of that size anywhere.

a space shit shootin inanimate blocks does not make me think of entertainment.... replace the blocks with some kind of ships, meteors, aliens, i dunno, something besides transparent blocks. add some sound to you MC's you can find sound effects everywhere online. and maybe allow the ship to move up and down the screen.
