Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

This has been the most difficult film I have ever made, because its meaning is very true to my soul. For too much of my life I have been a mindless consumer of time. Hopelessly placing value in things that never gave an ounce of value back. Now that I am older, I worry endlessly that this new generation is making the same mistakes I now deeply regret.

In the end, I hope my message is honest and clear. Whether you agree with me or not, please share you thoughts, spark meaningful discussions, and share this film with everyone you know.

Special thanks to all those who have been my strength - and to all of you for taking a moment to open your minds =)

Great

This is great, totally put what I'm doing in perspective, I value videogames for some weird reason but I think I'm just hanging onto my past, thanks man, this was an awesome animation.

I really enjoyed it..

This flash was extremely well written, and for me, that was the best part of it. I feel as though people have spent way too much time playing this video games, including myself. There was one part that I do disagree on: the WoW part. As an avid gamer of WoW, I've leveled 4 different classes to 80, and have spent a great amount of my time playing the game. However, playing non-stop (7-8 hours a day), you can hit level 80 on a character in 1 week or so. I'm positive that I personally couldn't read all of those books in 1 week, even if I read for about 7-8 hours a day. Same with the driving. If I only drove for 7-8 hours a day, that would only be about 3.5k miles, which is roughly going there and and 1/4th of the way back.

Other than the statistics which I personally disagree on, everything else in this flash was spectacular.

WOAH!

Mind = BLOWN!

That was a for sure an eye opening way to look at the technology that we have today! I especially liked the whole bit about us being the first generation to decide if the technology helps or ruins our lives!

That was just a smack to the face to me! I consider myself a gamer but I do get outside and hang with friends. But I do tend to be inside more than outside and have noticed that i seem to have been gaining weight. Especially now that I don't have any physical activity in my lifestyle.

It really has made me look at this lifestyle in a different way, and has made me think about what's more important; entertainment or whats needed now.

Thank you for this amazing animation and the eye opening message.

Interesting

Video games may be bad, but they can be good. Take hutch for instance. he makes youtube videos of him playing MW2 and just recently because his videos did so well, he got a job for Machinima. If he didn't start recording his games and comeentating on them, he would still be stuck waiting tables.

cheesy, but oh so poignant

Very true observation about how much something designed to make money and entertain, in whatever order, could actually leave a person with no marketable skills. I must point out that the dialogue did come across as preachy, but this didn't detract from your message very much. Not a huge fan of your choice for the musical score...
Let me also take the time to state that I have no idea how to make a flash cartoon, or even compose a coherent piece of art that doesn't absolutely confound people, provoking such comments like, "wow, that's so weird", or "why does that bird have a demonic head? Are you a satanist?", or my favorite "thats really cool man. Can you draw me a landscape?"
With all that being said, this cartoon stirs up a lot of feelings within me. Nice job.
