Turns out it wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. :) Didn't need multiple files, just to match the totals between my own file/the latest one on NG Logs. Still took pretty much half the day to get it sorted, but a new update's finally on route now, real soon...

Welcome to the 2x10k Hexalist - Update #49 (1/19/2019)

Hey! It's been a while.

I was plotting to get back to these back in September, last year, after summer, as usual, but various issues have kept it from happening - mainly the NG redesign changes making the tool I've been using to fetch data for these lists obsolete/in need of updates, and the online service meant to replace said tool hasn't had all that I needed, but after @Byteslinger tweaked it to crawl more users, and helped add in the users I was missing, there is no longer any excuse not to at least try to use it!

So I've spent pretty much the entire day today rebuilding spreadsheet formulas and learning how to match stats between user lists of varying order, as the online exports don't track rank changes the same way, adding in another 700 new users that weren't on my list before aaand it's done! Hopefully upcoming NG Log changes will make this whole process redundant, but until then: updates should be back to how they used to be. Pretty much. I don't even need to let the crawler run a full day to fetch these stats now, just get them from the new and improved NG Logs, match, clean up, format and upload the files. Appreciate the progressive simplifications @Byteslinger ! :) It turned out easier than I expected, all things considered.

Also, if you notice the -26,663 in regard to reviews: that's due to this thing, which unfortunately left a lot of people with massive losses and erased a shameful amount of written content from passed years, needed or no. Also note that at least the top three reviewers have all reclaimed their lost numbers and more in record time, so had this update been posted a few months ago the number would probably have been closer to ca -40,000. This for just a fraction of users on the site. Makes you wonder how much is really getting removed daily without our know.

But it's not all bad! We've got high stats on most other content forms (except posts, as usual), and plenty of new users with this recent platform migration! 50 mentions no less. I think that's some kind of record.

Some of these Congratulations may be somewhat belated, and I wonder if some of y'all haven't been on this list before, too... it's possible prior name changes have kept you out a while. If so: welcome back! If you do change your name again feel free to also change it here, and you won't drop off the list in case we don't notice.

Hmm well you've definitely got the stats! And you are on NG Logs... did you add yourself recently there? If so you should be on the next update. I'll make a note though and make sure you're in that one. Hope some users didn't end up disappearing with the transition...

Also noticed Rage is there twice, with both new and old name. Will be fixed in the next one too.

In keeping up with modernizing NewGrounds utilities, I am happy to announce that a NEW online version of Portal Guard (PG 4.0) is now operational and part of the new NGLogs site. It runs in a browser (needs Javascript enabled) on just about any device; it doesn't require any client installation nor does it care what OS you run. There are plenty of new features, and it now shows ALL submissions (art, audio, games and movies).

I used to be quite active in the art form and participated in my fair share of animation collabs (even if they don't show up on my profile). I've been trying to make my comeback but I have too many hobbies and a full-time job lol

Why none that show on your profile though? Not credited? Not on NG? Real life stuff does get in the way of the more fun stuff of life yes. True true. Wonder how many months lesser the latest update here would've been delayed had it not...

Gotta chase those dreams though! Assuming those hobbies are more fun than whatever else you do do.

I didn't realize that there wasn't that many quadlisters. Kind of cool to see that I'm part of a group that is so small. Kind of makes me want to start playing more medal games or reviewing so I can get another stat to 10,000...

You definitely should! The list of users above Quadlist is still affordably small...

I completely forgot that I'm apparently Triple Listed. Might try seeing if I can get another stat above 10k but I do not know what. Reviewing would take an eternity to do because I do so very rarely, blams would be almost impossible to do since I'd need another 8k of those, and I'd need another 8500 medals to get that much 😩

Yeah, you too, go for it! :) I suppose medals would be the quickest one to rack up on, considering it's the one stat you have the most of apart from those aforementioned three, and easy medals being comparatively easy to other stats. I still haven't managed to reach the ultimate digit on that one myself but... may have something to do with spending way more time on the wordy ones. It shouldn't be so difficult. You've got it.
