the whole "ask a..." thing is generally not allowed, because most people who start a thread like it is generally a jackass who ain't gonna be serious about it, and the thread ens up being a spamfest. a few exceptions are existing, like poozy's "ask a crane-operator thread", which is both unique in it's kind and ain't a complete spamfest. note that it wa started before poozy was modded.

so yeah, no "ask a..." threads. and if you're serious about making one, check with a mod - who in most cases probably will say no anyways.
