im not great at sound, but you definnatly dont want the sound on event, stream will reduce the file size massizly. that'll probly solve it.
on stream tho it doesnt start...

womble's right, event is a rubbish setting, change it to stream then see what the file size is. If it is still big, tell us the sound settings which you are exporting the swf as.
infact here are the sounds in the roughly complete movie on stream!

sorry, dont hav a clue why that is... but stream is definantly the setting you need it on to reduce the file size. maybe another member of the collab might know the problem.

thats because there must be sound files in the library, having simple FBF animations in there will not make the FLA 34 MB. If you copy all of the frames from the master FLA then paste them into a blank FLA, the file size will be reduced greatly.

yeah, i think you should just do that and send him watever songs that your using and see if he can get it to work properly.

yeah, then I'll do anymore work that needs to be done on it and when it's finished, i'll send you the swf. and you can submit it. You don't have to do much work this way as well.

didn't you already make an authors page. Anyway, the point of the copy and pasting is that once you've pasted it, only stuff that is being used in the movie is in the library, this will overall reduce the file size.
Yeah Nicholas is right. It shouldnt take up that much space. EVER! Unless you are telling us the flash size and not the swf size. They are two seperate things

It would delete all the unused mc and it would take around 15min on an average pc...
im slowly seeing what I can do you guys...
