I remember the good old days when we listened to real music like Gorillaz and 50 cent." heh heh...

50 Cent?... be reasonable, LJ :D

The oldies are just used to classical music, usually the most melodically diverse music genre out there. And electronic is sometimes repetitive in melody...

...I'm just waiting for someone to say " NOT TRUE BITCH". :P

Most people who base their online handles on VST names don't seem to get laid... Take that you horrible little troll!

I can help you though!

If I had any viagra laying around I'd take some - ask you to wait 40 minutes and then trap you under my walker for a power hilt of mega-super-ultra-giga-geriatric-sodomization. If you tried to run I'd roll you down in my rascal and make you give me a fixodent rimjob.

:D

I don't think this thread is getting at the big picture... Hardly ANYBODY "gets" electronica music. Outside of say, the UK, the population of people who really listen to and respect electronica is very very small. But isn't it more special that way? Keep it underground!

Like taking a heavy rock listener and suddenly plopping them into a room with Beethoven's symphonies. The few words you'd understand from that man's obscene ranting would indicate he doesn't appreciate that type of audio.

Moral of lesson. Develop all types of music while you're still under 18.

The BBC Radiophonic workshop played a huge role in the development of electronic music and sound didn't they? Who can forget the glory of the Dr Who theme. Looks like they're stil going strong.

yep yep yep, tis true.
I pick up the BBC on my spaceships tv, just listening to adverts on british tv they use loads of Warp records artists music and glitched up electronica, especially on car ads.
