WELCOME TO THE METALLITHRASHERS

This club has been designed for you all to talk about the infuential and popular band Metallica.

Metal Hell has deemed talking about the band as "stupid", and mainly focuses on the Black Metal and Death Metal of today. So my close friend SpeedMetalSandwhich and I proposed to start this club, in which all of you Metallica fans can come to talk, debate, share tabs, discuss tours, or whatever. The band has been active for over 20 years, and has built a large fan base. This will hopefully be noticable here, as there are bound to be fans of the band on NG. Well, let's get to the rules.

1. Follow ALL BBS rules as you should in every club/crew.

2. This club is not strict, but it would be better to talk about Metallica related subjects only. This could also be about other Bay Area bands or bands influenced by Metallica.

3. There will be discussions on Mettallica's so called, "Selling out", but there shall be NO FLAMING. Display your opinions in a civilized manner.

4. All willing to join must state their top ten songs and favourite album. This will show me that you are indeed a Metallica fan and know what you are talking about. If you have simply heard one song from them and like it, I encourage you to buy an album of theirs before joining, otherwise discussion here would not be much of a fulfilling experience.

so to get the conversation started...has anybody (yes im aware its only me and Chindamo here but when people start to join...) seen Metallica live before? i missed out JUST seeing the St. Anger tour...even if it was one of the bad albums, its still Metallica.

Sadly Western Australia isn't the best place to live if you want to see tours... Though how awesome would it be to see the S&M concert?

It's a pretty good feeling. I don't mind it beeing one of the slower clubs (Such as the Pantera club), just as long as we get to share our interests. That's what clubs and crews are all about.

Thank fuck. I wouldn't even bother seeing them if they didn't play the first 4 albums.

Though their redo-ing of some songs (Like in S&M) aren't always the best.

Metallica is like the Electric Wizard of Thrash Metal. It's really your opinion how you take that, but personally I'd rather listen to Slayer or even Voivod, its just much more stimulating and interesting to me.

That's fine, but remember who turned the metal industry upside down with the debut, "Kill 'em All". Who defined a new era of metal. I've said it before, but the heaviest stuff before Metallica was probably Iron Maiden, and Kill 'em All made them sound like the fucking BeeGees.
