Likewise.
Really not looking forward to them. I didn't revise (litterally just not at all) and have a bad feeling about most of them :(
Ah well, guess i'll wait and see, and just take what i get and live with it.

Starts the 10th for me.
I go back on a wednesday, think it's the 6th or something.

That's cool. I come back from vacation on the fourth. I'm looking forward to school to be honest, I got a lot of easy courses.

This is week 7 of 10 of this quarter for me, so then I have 3 weeks off before I start the next quarter/go to Virginia in October for a week.

How'd you do Smulse if you read this?

I hate AxisHost. Let's play who can spot the problem:

http://64.22.114.234/~newampm/testpage.p hp

http://mustywindows.com/~newampm/testpag e.php

(those pages are at the same location)

Given the line:

if ( !include $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . '/../EmberPHP/system/Ember.php' ) throw new exception ('Unable to load Ember class.', 401);

for the include.

Looks like a bad symbolic link, but I'm probably wrong.

As I was going through my site making sure my pages were valid.. I ran across the snag of the youtube embeding problem. I tried the alternative that I found on the Google search but there is a white outline around it.. Anyone know a way to put the videos on my site correctly?

http://lithcorp.net/scaryrealm/Videos/Ga mes/Zelda/Wonderboy.php is what it looks like.. Valid but not too good looking.. >,>

Help please?

Response to Programming Regs Lounge 2007-08-24 05:30:45

The white border is just because you haven't embedded it at the right size.

I don't find it surprising to be honest, everyone seems to be in their own little bubbles here. In this thread I mean. Let's face it, no-one is going to read through 200 pages of meaningless discussion.

Heh. I've been doing a tad of Flash just because I don't feel like doing anything else.
And I have to say, I've done better animations in JavaScript =P The event handling is actually quite horrible, it fails to correctly implement having two keys pressed at once. Which sucks for diagonal movement.

Oh well, AS3 still > AS2.

I'm not sure how you're detected keypresses, but AS3 has no problem processing multiple keys being pressed. The event handling is tight. If you're using AS2, then I agree, they key events are weak and it does have trouble with multiple keys being pressed/released.

Response to Programming Regs Lounge 2007-08-24 20:00:21

Also, if you want, show me how you're setting up your key handlers/functions that get called and maybe I could help, because I've been doing a lot of AS3 lately.
