Pure, you know when you asked a trivia question about the connection between Shinra from Final Fantasy 7 and ShinRA from X-2? Did anyone ever answer it because I think I have the answer?

Ok. I stumbled on it totally by accident. Is it something like ShinRA discovering the lifestream and that it could be sold for profit or something along those lines?

Yes!!!! Shinra notices the vast amount of energy in the core and that it could be extracted. This makes me believe that FFX & FFX-2 are actually before the timeline of FFVII! Thank you for noticing that. :D :D

No way, look at the geography, technology, and placement of cities in FFX. Now Shinra in FF7 has not been in control of the whole freaking planet long enough for the continents to shit that much, old cities to be abandoned, or technology to change that much. I thin they went "Hey, if we put in a FF7 reference people wont hate it as much"

They didn't find the lifestrwam did they? I thought it was the promised land they found.

But it proves how they rebuilt. I don't know how much time in the difference, but they would rebuild with the mako energy extracted from the planet and begin anew. That's what I think at least.

Continents shift naturally aswell. You don't know how long X & X-2 could be before 7.

Iwas talking about the natural shift, and you're telling me for the hundreds of thousands of year it would take for them to shift that much, shinra has been in control?

I doubt they were that worried about being specific.

We don't know that ShinRA started taking out the lifestream there and then do we and also there might have been a natural disaster that caused the continents to shift. Anyway, it's might just be something they put in for no reason like someone said.

Actualy I think that at the beginning the Shin-Ra were honest but they were corrupted by the money and they started to exploit the lifestream... I doubt there's a link between the two FFs cause like they said the geographic is totaly different and I doubt there was a cataclysm too.

Or...maybe the ShinRA as they were taking out of the lifestream it began to transform the continents. But, Just like FF to use the Name Cid so many times, they could have just put that in there because they didn't think of anything else.

I don't mind as long as you warn of any spoilers.

How could there be spoilers when he made up his own sequel to it?

Response to Final Fantasy Club 2004-06-03 23:46:16

Well, that is a very interesting story, especially with Cloud and Tifa and no one else sleeping lol
I wonder what crazy events would bring the group back together.

Because the story could mention things the happened in the game. Red, that sounds very good so far.

Because it's obviously going to have to make references to parts of the plot of FF7.

I think it might be one of the party or someone they know since Barret says "How Could You". It's a great story so far.

SPOILERS

Not sure if you said, but does this take place before or after the ending scene with Nanaki and his children looking over a ruined Midgar?

No silly, that happens like 50 years after everything.

Response to Final Fantasy Club 2004-06-04 09:22:12

Okay, I see what you meant by spoilers, wasn't really thinking clearly. Okay, but now Nanaki is dead (or dying), and I won't stand for that! But it still sounds pretty cool.
