Happy Pixel Day!

Pixel Day is an annual NG celebration of the pixel art form. You can participate by making original pixel art, animation, games or chiptunes and using the pixelday2020 tag.

There are prizes!

Best Art - $100

Best Animation - $100

Best Game - $100

Best Music - $100

Today is also a Triple XP day; log 30 XP by voting on at least 15 items and help us determine the best of Pixel Day.

Pixel Day started as a suggestion by @RealFaction and was first celebrated in 2016. Today is the five year anniversary!

The Pixel Day site skin and promo art this year is once again by @moawling, who creates some killer pixel cities for us to inhabit.

Newgrounds is also hosting a Phaser Game Jam. If you have a game you’ve made with pixel art that hasn’t been shared on NG, today would be a great day to do it!

Pixel Day is my absolute favorite NG event day! I look forward to it every year. Couldn't submit last year, but I am this year . . . just as soon as I am off work. Can't wait to dig into all that pixel goodness tonight!

I've submitted a pixelly game for this fun occasion! It's a little bit old, but until this week it was only available on the Google Play store.

Oh wow! I'm not hearing audio on either the public or preview page but I see this in the console:

The AudioContext was not allowed to start. It must be resumed (or created) after a user gesture on the page.

Browsers block audio by default unless the user has engaged - although I am clicking on the game so would hope that counts as an engagement. I'll see if I can get some other eyes on this.

I noticed it had started working again so I edited my post there - didn't see you'd already replied! Maybe it had something to do with me refreshing the page instead of loading a new tab from the link?
