At this point I think it would be really cool if we let people choose from three layouts:
1) Classic Grid, when you want to just eyeball tons of art at once.
2) Instagram-style grid, with larger thumbnails. More scrolling but everything gets more real estate.
3) Feed style, where you see full art piece and can just scroll forever.
I like the idea of infinite scrolling with thumbnail. But a feed style in my opinion is too impersonal. Maybe is just the way I like browsing the art portal, but when I click on a piece of art, it gives you a moment with it, a moment to vote, a moment to read and write reviews and, most importantly, a moment to interact with the artist.
But honestly a dream feature of mine would be support for comics or multiple pages. Maybe it's just me but I always feel like a butt when I flood the art portal with different variation of a picture. I try to avoid doing it. Even if it was a feature only available to approved users that would be great. Or like you're limited to a max of 10 pages without admin approval. or something. I'd love to use it for something like multiple gifs, something too small for the movie portal. and not worth the trouble of making a gallery for the games portal.
