Postponing Robot Day To December 10

As you all know this July 10th one of the most iconic Newgrounds holidays, Robot Day, yes this year the festivities were skipped entirely

Since I would hate to see newgrounds going through 2017 without a proper robot day I would it if we as the users here on newgrounds could come together and have a proper robot day.

Why December 10th? People put a lot of time into robot day submissions so asking them to make one from today to tomorrow will lead to barely anybody being able to make a piece and won't make a lot of sense. the reason I suggest the 10th is both because robot day was always on the 10th and because it is far enough from the holiday season to leave people time to make something for Christmas or Hanukkah or kwanzaa (I know Hanukkah falls on the 12th till 20th but I still feel like that date seems reasonable enough).

Please put here any suggestions ideas and notes about having a postponed robot day this year, as well as if the date seems reasonable enough for you (I'm pretty sure it doesn't clash with anything too big). In addition please say something if you are interested in making something for a postponed robot day , anything from music, art, and animations to games, collages, contests, or collaborations.

In the slim chance that Tom Fulp or any admin is reading this I'd love if you could please share this forward, express your opinion on this manner, or help me make this postponing official.

As of currently there was no robot day in 2017. The idea is not to permanently postpone it but to set a new date just for 2017 to keep the festivities going this year as well.

What I'm hoping it's too achive is to get a robot day for 2017 to keep the ball rolling as a yearly tradition. I'm aware of the fact my chances are slim but I might as well try. If I could get people on board with this is be ecstatic, but even if this fails I hope that at the very least we could get robot Day for 2018 since it's such a lovely tradition to have and one that would be a shame to lose.

I hope you're able to have a fun event for a pseudo-Robot Day, as it's one of the best NG holidays for me.

I think December is too far away in the future, though, and may doom it to fizzling out - especially for a day that is mainly for art portal submissions, as they don't need 3 months of prep time.

I'm keen to jump on board for this. Between an alt and this account, I've entered most Robot days (and won one). Only issue might be having the spare resources (time/energy) to pull it together, but I'm keen and I'll try.
