Based on the general stereotype of people on the internet, I was curious how many people around here work blue collar jobs, and no, shoe stores do not count.

I for one, am a Warehouse Furniture Specialist, which means in addition to doing repair work and assembly for furniture nicer than my car, I also have to unload appliance and furniture trucks which unload at the distribution center.

I work as part of the container unloading crew at my company. We handle frozen food so it gets pretty cold.

You haven't seen me yet.

I used to work at a bakery at some point in 2015, a total of two days where I failed twice, packing bread on night shifts :P

Does that count as blue collar?

If Friendship is truly Magic, then I'm little more than a muggle in this regard...

I'd say so.

I can only imagine. It gets cold enough unloading washers and dryers off a truck in the winter, and then we walk right under a gas heater. You learn to really hate that heater.

Definitely counts.

I worked on assembly lines at warehouses for 3 years during college- furniture warehouses, a place that made picture frames and mirrors, chip and pretzel factories, and a box making factory for fancy perfumes and chocolates.

I work a desk job now though at a healthcare payments company, just started last year.
