I can say with confidence that the strangest meal I've ever had would be grilled Burmese python. Actually tasted a bit like a chewy version of something between chicken and duck. They're apparently an invasive species in Florida. People got them as exotic pets and they got out and had a population explosion in the Everglades. There's tons of pictures of them competing with, and even eating (and as a result killing themselves) alligators. Apparently they have a "kill on sight" notice, so eating them is just beneficial to the surrounding ecosystem.

Second weirdest would be deep-fried minnows. Flavorless, mild fishy aftertaste. All the flavor is pretty much in whatever goes into the batter.

Both of these meals my father says someone told him are "traditional Florida meals" which is weird because I thought the traditional Florida meal was meth. (insert sound effects)

Teriyaki marinated duck sounds great. I'm gonna bring that up with my parents. We have kaoya at least once or twice a month, so I can't imagine marinating it will be too difficult. As for squid rings... eh. I'll pass.

The squid rings were pretty good, they were battered and deep fried

Squid ink ramen. It didn't just have squid ink in the stock. It also had the squid in it.

The taste is the weirdest thing though. It tasted like fish but without the aftertaste and it didn't really give off any smell. The ink gave the ramen a thicker texture. It also turned my and my friend's teeth blackish blue for a little while.

Never really tried any weird meals, but I had really bad ones. My worst experience was when I was in a road trip and I ate at Mcdonalds, I hate fast food, so the next day I was puking for like 8 hours, probably had something in the food. At that point I never ate fast food again.

They are fucking delicious.

Apparently the oils in their body and their diet of wood makes their meat deliciously tender and smoky.

It was one of the best things I'd honestly ever eaten.

You're thinking of cherries. Eat a bunch of cherry pits and you might need a stomach pumping. Peach pits have that weird not-an-almond in 'em.
