Yes she tried all kinds of dirty tactics and election rigging definitely happens. Just like with anything else you can place bets on. While Trump is far from the greatest human being ever, it humbles me just to know that enough people can see Hillary is a lying bitch. Britain was too stupid to see it about David Cameron, twice in a row somehow. Whom also happened to have been accused of electoral fraud btw.

Just goes to show you what she thinks of the average American when she sends out that mook, Podesta out to send everyone home, rather than speak to them herself.

Absolutely this. She is one two-faced evil cow.
My first thought... was that she didnt believe she could lose, so had no such speech prepared. She's so narcissistic and self-righteous, just like her supporters with their SJW crap... I wouldn't be surprised.

All I hope the world learns from this and brexit is that we do have power. Our vote is worth something. We can make change happen. So maybe in future, voting a third party won't seem stupid or like a 'waste of a vote', whatever dumb label you want to give real balls and fighting for what you believe in. Find the political manifesto you agree with the most. It can happen.

His own VP-Elect doesn't even agree with him, so there's a good chance he won't be able to make things (even) worse for women. Bad enough some states only have 2-6 places to get an abortion.

It's funny but I was asked about the electoral college while waiting to vote, just said it was a hedge against populism, giving the states' themselves a bit more say in the final outcome, and not an all-or-nothing grand total.

The 2 parties primaries were a shambles, all the wrong people were in contention: Hillary bought and influenced her way to the top, and the Republicans had closet Democrats in the running. Bernie Sanders was the only one who was free of scandal, but he was a little overboard on some of his socialist ideals.

Voting for Hillary, was voting for pay-to-play influences from some very suspect sources, both foreign and domestic entities. Her statements were always covering up conflicts of interest. Trump's no angel, but I do think he's less likely to get us into international trouble... but after 8 years of virtually no decent foreign policy, gonna be tough either way.

lol but the VP doesn't do shit. I can tell Trump himself really doesn't care about the issue of abortion, it's not high on his agenda. He even used to be pro-choice before this election.

I was rooting for Bernie this side of the pond and I still think he would have made a great president, by far the most political potential out of all the candidates to surface this time around. It's a shame that the US wasn't ready for his more left-wing ideas. The governments lose is the internets gain.

Trump's no angel, but I do think he's less likely to get us into international trouble.

I'm not too sure about that. The man's clearly quick to anger and some world leaders have said less than savoury things about him, this is true every election but there's a lot of Trump hate on the world stage. Will these countries be more inclined to deal with America now? I guess we'll soon find out. He's got Putin on his side but that'll be for a quiet life without the US sniffing around it's business all the time.

They do not want to serve under a President Trump, and I can't blame them.

Yes, despite his comparatively composed exterior, Pence is also indeed a complete fucking nutbag.

In an attempt to score some serious Jesus-points for the afterlife, he signed into law a measure that requires aborted fetuses or miscarriages regardless of age to be buried or cremated by a healthcare facility. While it doesn't force the women to pay for it (like many exaggerated reports claim), it's still crazy if you know anything about gestation, especially that many miscarriages occur in the early first trimester at home and is indistinguishable from a heavy period. Soooo, I guess women in Indiana just have to save all their periods in a Ziplock or some shit so Pence can examine it to make sure there's nothing fertilized up in there? There's a lot more to it that is also problematic, but the face value idiocy of this should fly some serious red flags about the guy who's soon to be 2nd-in-line.

I somewhat disagree. You're correct in the technicals of what you said, the electoral is what matters. But when your side loses, and the popular vote shows you could have won, it makes it that much harder for the party and the President in power to be able to reach out and create consensus and coalition. Especially this one, since his campaign was textbook divisiveness and race baiting (George Wallace and his like would be so proud). When it's over, you want to try and knit things back together, the general divisiveness of our politics these days I think makes that impossible....that you've got someone who pulled off the biggest upset in political history after running such a divisive campaign (and whose supporters really do strike me as people who even though many of them I'd consider quite smart, still somehow fell for smoke and mirrors and pro wrestling level chicanery), it's going to be next to impossible to ever bring them together. I think we are going to see something come out of this that is going to be quite monumental. Maybe in a good way, but also very possibly in a bad way. It's next to impossible to tell yet I think. But it's coming.

I think when you're campaigning you have to do so in such a way that you're trying to win. Once you win, then you can focus on what you have to do to better the country. He has said over and over again, even throughout his campaign that he wants to be a President for all the people and establish unity instead of both sides fighting and never getting anything done. Of course his campaign message was divisive, but I saw it as more of a tactic. I really do believe deep down he has a good mind for what can and can't work, he just did a very poor job of explaining it and expressing himself correctly throughout his campaign because he's not a polished politician. But only time will tell to see if he'll follow through with what he said and says, and of course whether he'll be a good president or not. It's unfair to judge anyone, good or bad, if you haven't given them a chance yet. We'll see how it goes, then we can make our criticisms.

Agreed.

Hard as shit to do when you run a campaign that from Day 1 was built on saying one or more groups are criminal, and shouldn't be here. We're now seeing protesters camping outside Trumps home in NY. This is not going to be easy, or end any time soon.

Of course his campaign message was divisive, but I saw it as more of a tactic. I really do believe deep down he has a good mind for what can and can't work, he just did a very poor job of explaining it and expressing himself correctly throughout his campaign because he's not a polished politician.

I hope your right, I really do, but again. I think he pulled a lot of smoke and mirrors to make you folks that voted for him see what you wanted to see honestly.

But only time will tell to see if he'll follow through with what he said and says, and of course whether he'll be a good president or not.

Agreed.

It's unfair to judge anyone, good or bad, if you haven't given them a chance yet.

You act like he's someone who has no history as a public figure, who's brushed against the national stage of politics before. He has. Since that is a thing, I DO have some things to judge based on that, none of it good. We shall see.

We'll see how it goes, then we can make our criticisms.

I'll make mine now, and if I have to eat my words later, I happily will. But for right now, my hope is simply that a lot of folks who looked at Trump as some kind of revolutionary figure who will fix all these things you think are wrong will have a good bit of "buyer's remorse" as things go along. We'll see. All I'll say for me is I'll lay my fears and criticisms out there, and if they turn out unfounded, and you guys throw them back at me verbatim, I'll eat my words and be happy to do so. I'm big enough to do that.

I've said it about our elected politicians here in Canada & feel it should be enacted to an unchangeable law for any and all elected officials.
You promise the people you are going to do something to get elected. You have to do it. If there are problems with Congress or other elected political party members working against you. Fine, But At Least you are trying to keep your political promises to those who elected you.

I have said before I didn't like either candidate that Americans had as choices. But as an outsider looking in its pretty obvious, the way the politicians have been running your country is what really got Trump elected.
He is seen as change (I personally don't believe that)
She was seen as more of the same ( I did believe that)

But we shall see, with the contention within his own Party, it is possible they will use their cooperation on some of his policies to temper other policies into something more palatable.

But as a member of big business himself, I believe he is going to continue what the last 3 Presidents did...cowtow to big money & for their (& his) interests will come before any of the rank & file Americans.

One things for sure, there's no chance I'll be coming to America any time soon. I really used to enjoy visiting you. But what you've turned your country into, in the name of "protecting you from terroists' is going to go up a notch or 6 IMO !

And I am not at all interested in subjecting myself to any of that.

I like the fact that Donald is going to make College more easily accessible to people in his "things I will do in my 1st hundred days" Also, we get to keep our guns, a plus to me. I voted Trump, and am not a racist. I believe in his policy's minus climate change deniability.

But the (left) of course, would brand me a racist, misogynist and sexist. However, I am none of those things. I just chose the lesser of the two evils. Fuck you, if you think every Trump supporter hates women and blacks.

Trump's election is a resounding rejection of false negative politics, people are tired of the bullshit. Flip on the news, you get talking heads chattering about how the KKK won, all minorities are going to be interned, women are going to be raped, the gays are going to have their rights reduced, and the sky is going to fall. It's this very thing that people are tired of. You cannot paint everyone as a bigot just because you disagree with who they vote for, as is happening in some areas of media and many circles of the internet. The people saw through this bullshit.

What those accusers don't want to talk about, the number of districts that overwhelmingly voted for Obama in previous years being flipped for Trump. How Trump got more of the Black and Hispanic vote than Romney, and scored well with the women vote also. These people, the ones who turned out in droves for Obama, they turned their back on Hilary.

It's time for many people to change their pampers, come to terms with reality, and amend their behaviors.
