So, newgrounds is finally unblocked at my school. Making my senior year even less productive!! YAY! But really though, what do you guys think about this? Did any school you've been to ever block NG?

My high school blocked nothing. What is the point of blocking at school if a student has access everywhere?

It was always blocked on the school computers.

Internet was barely a thing when I was in school, so nothing was blocked. Plus, I don't think any of the computers outside of the faculty offices had internet. Heck, I'm not sure if most of those offices even had internet access back then. Besides, Newgrounds was largely unknown when I was in school. I didn't learn about it until Tupac died from having orange fingers, though I've been visiting periodically ever since. Nowadays, if I ask the younger folk if they've heard of Newgrounds, the most common response is either going to be something along the lines of, "Oh yeah! I remember that now! Does that actually still exist," or "No."

Wasn't a big deal when they didn't bother blocking the websites that let you get around it at school.

I was always more interested in why most airports I've been in block NG on their wifi.

Interestingly during my sophmore and Senior years they Unblocked Newgrounds. Although it did mean I had to be more careful with what I watched in public. Still it was great to have something to do during Lunch hours.

I would like to think I was the reason why it was blocked at my high school. Accidentally clicked on a bottle guy pic, and was summarily banned for responding to the topic. But NG was for sure banned after that, methinks.

I ended up getting Newgrounds blocked at my high school during my Junior year.
And by "blocked" I mean that any site you wanted to go on all you'd need to do is type in https instead of http in the URL and you'd get in zero problem. Granted they DID start to monitor the computers in the schools for anyone doing that my Senior year so they probably don't have it "officially" unblocked yet.

Actually school is where I first got introduced to NG. Someone would be watching stuff and call over people to see stuff.
Eventually the group would get told to disperse because of causing too much noise in the library.

Most of the sites blocked back then were video and social media ones. At least what they felt fell into those categories.

They were more strict about what you were printing. Especially after a classmate of mine got caught printing porn lmao.

All the schools I've been to have blocked NG. It sucked. You are lucky.
