NISSIN!!! cup noodles. but that's boring so im gonna talk about the buffet i ate yesterday.
something called "Suki-ya" which is a fake nipponese hotpot buffet place. price seems to have went up by about 3+ bucks since i last ate at a different franchised restaurant. this one is newer. well, it costs even more when you take into account the sales tax which was not included in the lunch buffet price.
felt like they cut back on buying proper bowls and utensils. didn't even have any fork and spoons for me! all i got was one big spatula thing and chopsticks. also the bowls are tiny and only come in 1 size. i initially thought it was a sauce plate, but nope, it's the only freakin bowls they got.
the meat strips felt like it got better. chikken was kinda bland even went cooked in a pork-based thicc creamy soup. pork was good,i cooked them in a some light seaweed based broth. Ponzu mixed with soya sauce is perfect for most meats and also udon. the rather "heavy" sesame seed sauce was a bit overpowering for me. nice variety of meatballs but they didn't label a single thing so i can't tell if one meatball was the mushroom one or an octopus ball. both of those look almost the same. i also have no idea when i bit into a cheesy balls, the boiling hot cheese burnt my mouth.fucking labels man! label your fucking balls!!! also they didn't label the veggies but it's hard to confuse brocolli for mushrooms or lefty greens. plus who's gonna make a salad for a buffet meal anyways?
also they don't seem to offer any ice cold water. gotta pay extra for a free flow of drinks that aren't water. which i didn't pay for cause that sounds like bullshit to me, so i drank a lotta seaweed soup instead.
