For realsies, though, this build doesnt support much aside from experiencing continuous (depending on region) downtime, sparsely distributed gyms and stops (again, depending on region) and literally no functions aside from catching em all and kind of being able to fight randos by proxy. I imagine once true PVP is added and stability increased, the numbers of people sticking with it will raise and settle.
Besides, I dont want to play Pokemon with other jerks. I wanna catch me some pokemon and grind them against wild pokemon. Like, going full main series style sans gyms and elite 4, probably. I'd really like to have my starter be competitive, not just eternally boxed because I cant fucking find a starter to catch and use for candy/dust.
Found two gyms near me because I finally had time to take a walk. One's Antoinette's, an ice cream and candy shop in Depew acclaimed to be the pioneer of sponge candy.
The other is a park I haven't been to yet.
So, does anybody know how Eevee Evolution works... is it location based? Do you choose? Or is it based on your team choice?

I have no idea how eeveeluoutions work, but I've seen wild ones on friends phones. Ended up with a Flareon when I evolved mine, started with a Charmander. Good enough coincidence.
i don't see the appeal. the battle system is streamlined and crippled, there's no point sticking with a pokemon, and there's no battle system when you catch them.

They may update it eventually for better battling, but they had to work out the bugs first no doubt.
As of now, I like to think of it as an tweaked Safari Zone. You didn't battle the Pokemon, simply threw Pokeballs at them.
I know the game mechanics are rather upsetting to dedicated fans but I still have fun with it.

Team Mystic ftw. I'd prefer a team Harmony, though. Lugia was the shiiiiiit. I started Gen 1 with a Charmander so I just rolled with it. I quit playing for a while till the bugs and better features get rolled out.

I'm actually not that big on this game, it doesn't have meaningful choices to make within its boundaries besides where you choose to walk, which is actually just a sonar mini game. The lack of battling in the game really irks me, gym battles are a joke tap fest that you win if you've walked enough.
It has an interesting game loop, but not one that's meaningful.
