Have to agree that it looks like the fire is behind him, looks like the light from the fire is following the contour of the ground behind the goose.

Beside the obvious name of "Goose Rider", I think a Ghost Rider pun based on the scientific name could work as well.

Pretty sure it is. The fire is shining the ground and not on gooses body. If the goose was actually on fire, there would be some light on the gooses body.
