Interpreter wanted/DE to ENG 2015-08-28 13:37:39

Hello there fellow Newgroundians
Alright, let’s jump right into it and take a dive into your new literary adventure, shall we?

A friend and I created “Clue Writing” a German literary site three years ago. We post fresh short stories twice a week and to make it a little more interesting as well as interactive for our readers, we incorporate five Clues as well as a Setting in each of our stories.
Over the years we’ve added other content to our project, such as interviews with people from the literary world or short stories by guest authors. We’re also running a Podcast since the beginning of this year and are working together with professional voice actors to publicise two short story episodes a week.
You can have a look around here: www.cluewriting.de

Now, that’s neat an all but what do we want from you?
We want to expand our ever growing project even more and would like to give life to an English branch of Clue Writing. But there’s a problem: Although we both speak English, we are by no means a replacement for someone who’s a native speaker and has profound knowledge of the language.
This is why we are currently looking for interpreters who would be able to translate our German short stories into proper English.
Who are we looking for?
In the course of three years we’ve managed to gain some amount of popularity on the German literature market and we believe this is due to our work ethics. No story is published without an extensive lectorate and we always deliver on time. You see, quality isn’t lost in the quantity we produce and we would like to keep it that way. If you consider becoming a part of our team you should bring certain things to the table…
- Reliable and on time. Please keep in mind that our deadlines aren’t there for fun.
- Good reading understanding of German
- Very good grammar and some knowledge about English literature styles
- The time and drive to translate at least 1 short story a week for several months or longer. This may vary, depending on how many people want to participate.

Why should you work with us?
Well, we are in the process of monetising our project and as interpreter and integral part of the English Site you would get a (proportional to work hours) share of whatever we make. You of course would be present on all our sites (including social media) and we will promote your work. We are aware that this isn’t much at the moment but we are stubborn enough to get that project going and are willing to put in the work necessary to make it take off on the literary market.

Alright, instead of spamming you with more and more information we think it’s best to let you ask away whatever you want to know about us and our project.

Thank you very much for your time and have a lovely day :)
