At a slow speed I can do it. At a speed on par with Doom Guy or any other game characters who keep their footing sound and weapons lines up, not that easy.

Walking side-to-side. As opposed to forward and back. I thought everyone was taught to do that in elementary school PE.
Yeah I used to strafe to school every morning and all the bullies would beat the fuck out of me.

That's what I thought too. And it's easy.
@Ragnarokia do you mean something else or is this the thing you mean? If it's what you mean, don't feel bad though. So you're not good at it. So what? Everyone has stuff they're not good at. But yeah I would assume most people would find this particular thing to be easy?
Something I find to be difficult is taking knee-height steps. Step over multiple steps at a time so that it's knee-height and try to actually go up steps that way. Just be careful and don't hurt yourself and don't fall down any steps trying this.
And I don't know -- maybe there's someone who finds that to be easy.

There's a reason why strafing rhymes with chafing.

Yes, but it was painful. Guess I have eaten far too many hamburgers and hotdogs for that now.
Where's the difficulty in that? There's not really much to learn, really?

Its different when you are trying to stay on target with a firearm
My dog does this circle-strafing drift-racing thing around the house on the tile floors where she changes direction early and slides to avoid the walls. I'm always afraid she's going to hit the wall, but she's really good at it, and I've never seen her hit anything.
Not too often, only if it's really crowded do I strafe.

I've never really thought that's what people do, is it what's taught in the military? Twisting at the shoulders and neck to aim and walking forward/backward seems like it puts a lot less stress that makes you wobble on the abdomen and thighs.
That being said I've never fired an automatic firearm while moving, so maybe there's something to it.

As i find the ability to scope something and move in any direction... The ability to keep something in your crosshairs goes right out the window as soon as you take a step
As a human... Our steps are heavy... If you try to quiet them it only proves to shift weight around in your thigh and abdomen...
Either results in the gun muzzle direction jumping all over the place
Mind you its not bad if its being used for general cover fire uses... But if you are actually tryi g to hit a target with any accuracy... You need to stop and control your breathing for even a moment
Or kneel... Or dive...
If you are carrying a 6lb gun, (light) or worse... A 12lb gun (modded with attachments) you are going to need to counter that up and down motion your body naturally does, plus aim...
It sucks.
It sucks.
It fucking sucks to much wind vacume companies are jealous...
If you can be strafing sideways and hit a gopher at a meer 50 yards, who is standing tall on a tree stump... You are lucky.
Its not skill... Its luck
Imma a big dude, and some of that can be hard.
psyche, your a pussyshark if you can't strafe
