I thought you hated the Bay Area.
I mean, at least a lot of things about it.
But yeah E-40 has some good songs

When did I say that?

I don't like the city. I don't like the politics and all the bullshit that goes on out here, but I don't hate the bay.

I grew up listening to rappers like E-40, Seagram, Hugh E MC, RBL, Cellski, Cougnut, etc. I don't condone doing a lot of the things they rap about but I respect their music as a reflection of what actually goes on in the streets.
Here's another San Francisco classic:
Daft Punk. Madeon. M4SONIC, Shawn Wasabi, Avicii. JamesDeanDeathScene, SushiKiller, Boyinaband, DeadManWalkn, SoNevable, Epic Rap Battles of History. And probably more that I can't think of.
Tame Impala — Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind?
I'm gonna save Lonerism into my albums
Pretend not to care about anything, but be bothered by everything.
You may be fast on the roads but it's no use on the track.
I was wondering about this earlier; is this thread the place for all music discussion? Would music related threads be allowed in general?
Anyway, I've been listening to Everything Everything. Their new album is catchy, disturbing, and beautiful all at the same time.

Isn't that Andre Nickatina?
But yeah there's some good stuff. Ever heard of Philthy Rich? Oakland rapper.

Yup. He was known as Dre Dog back then.
A wind chime and tree branches swaying in the wind. Really. It's quite serene, and a nice change from listening to music all the time.

Maybe not so much underrated as just not that well known these days i imagine, you're entirely right considering just how much of a game changer his sound was, hard to overstate the impact he had on other acts and entire genres that came later. At least provided you've ever even heard of surf in the first place which i think for most probably doesn't extend further then the Adam West batman intro and Dick Dale's hava naguila from that Tarantino flick pulp fiction.
I like a bit of led zep as much as the next person, though if i think of surf rock influences something like misty mountain hop would pop into my mind sooner. Then again, jimmy page and thick mids, it's not like you can ever go wrong really.
Of course i'm also listening to the Ventures and the usual stuff by Dick Dale but Link Wray will allways be the gold standard :3
