So I'm getting a new phone soon, probably a Nexus 6, mostly because of the epic specs, and the fact its a Nexus (they are easier to root, and install ROMs than most devices from my experience).

2560x1440 resolution, 6 inch screen
iPhone 6 can go die a fire for all I care.

I know @ejr had a Nexus 6 back in April. A few of us have Nexus 5's
I can't justify the price or size. I was really hoping for a 5" Nexus phone again last year. Hopefully this year.
If I were to go that large for a phone I think I would want something like screen splitting to utilize the screen real estate - like the Galaxy Note series does.
Can't go wrong with a Nexus phone though! You're guaranteed the newest version of Android and about as total carrier portability as you can get in a phone these days (even Spring and Verizon!).
I'm on T-Mobile and I'm seriously considering the JUMP on demand program they just announced. Although it's basically leasing it lets you upgrade 3 times a year. I want to keep my Nexus 5 to play around with Android "M" but I also wanna play with a Galaxy S 6 Edge or the next Galaxy Note or the next Motorola phone.

Yeah the carrier support on the Nexus 6 is phenomenal, another major reason I want it. I hate being tied to a carrier, because I'm on the go somewhat frequently, and may need to switch more often than others might.

darn right you cant. the reason i really hated my nexus 5 and thought it was pos this whole time
was that it was really glitchy and i got my friend to come with me to send it out
so i got a brand new one and i love it. so customizable
and its quick with everything you do, functions great when it isnt a glitch phone.
noticing a lot of users around here with this phone. its pretty good now that i can see the happy side of it.
