Im really oldschool and stoped watching anime bout 7 years ago.
I watch full metal alchemest, Hellsing, Beserk, Cowboy bebop, I really enjoy the gritty animes.
Im not interested in any power up level up ninja super hero type of animes I enjoy animes that are a bit more serious characters being killed so on and so forth.
Any recomendation would be really appreciated.

I like video games so this manga catered to my desires through allusions, homages, and the like. Even if you're not a gamer, I'd still recommend it.

If you like Gundam, you should check out Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
It'll make more sense if you've seen the preceding shows in the Universal Century timeline...but you don't have to.

And now for the ACTUAL suggestion:
Perhaps Death Note might be enjoyable. It has a shitload of serious characters that die.
I don't know if Trigun is excellent in that manner; the serious part comes really close to the end of the series, but if you're a fan of serious stuff and nothing else, then you might drop it before you can reach the good parts...
If Friendship is truly Magic, then I'm little more than a muggle in this regard...
Boku No Pico is good if you like an anime to be fast-paced and exciting.

You've misunderstood me, the one I recommended is along similar lines to the shows you cited and seems really popular at the moment. It's not a personal favourite at all.
Saying I think they're rubbish was just a (perhaps misjudged) aside. I, personally, in my humble opinion, to be honest with you, don't enjoy this type of show.

I watched bleach for a while its got great humour in it always made me chuckle him and the dad.
Hunter X Hunter is a really good anime, it's from the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho. The first few episode is kind of childish but it get serious and dark while maintaining an excellent story later on
