First time doing this 'style' of painting. A test run to see if I could feasibly make an 'okay' artwork in this style. Still have a long way to go, but I think this is a good start.
My latest experiment with inks and watercolor. What details do you think this could do better with or without?

I like how the overall grey let's the colors pop more, maybeee add some more colors if you're feelin crazy (looks fine regardless).
Thank you for the feedback! I think I'll try out your suggestion tomorrow.

Nice structure in the figures' abdomens. I like the visible strain of the upper left pose and the hint of rib cage.
Brief gesture drawing with ink which I did Junior year of High School (6 years ago)

Lovely shading, especially on the palm. My only critique would be to perhaps add more luster or highlights to the fingernails for added contrast
Something i've been having a good time experimenting with is mixing mediums. As in painting over photos or just uploading an image and messing around with it in ms paint. This is a current WIP using the idea.

I'd say you're doing fine. Just keep at it and keep on doing it on a regular basis.
Just don't forget to analyze it afterwards and keep on trying to do better the next time.
Also making an art thread would also help to get feedback if you keep posting art regularly. :3

Thanks a bunch, thomaslikestoart!
It's definitely one of my best works from that era. ^\\\\^
Does anyone like drawing Asaro heads? It's a wonderful practice. I linked refs on my linked art page if anyone wants to try.
I wanted to share my practice for today. im still a beginner?
Looking good already. I really like the triangle based sketches, never seen that approach till now !

I just tried this for the first time yesterday, someone recommended it as a practice to make more interesting figures, except you can also do it with just circles, squares, and triangles, and lime slice shapes are cool too. You can really tell how the shapes gives the figure different characteristics and it also helps me at finding good angles and perspective spots.
I wanted to post another.

I'd encourage you to watch Prokos gesture drawing video

I hope it helps you out. Instead of drawing contours (outlines), it's better to focus on the structure of the body.
hot damn, if there's a thread to get necrobumped, this is it. We need more study sharing, nice nice nice.
