I can understand where you're coming from. I believe, it has something to do with the culture. In their case, most of the countries situated there are Matriarchal. That is, is a social organizational form in which the mother or oldest female heads the family. I happened to grew up in a Matriarchal society so I have an understanding on how they developed such belligerent women. We are thought to put the woman in a pedestal. I find it really weird though.
