Do you find CD turntables as responsive and versatile as good old analog LP turntables?

I opted to start with CDJ's to start with. Purely because of lack of space, i'm also thinking of starting to DJ out in clubs soon, I don't fancy lugging around vinyls :D

What's your opinion? Many Dj's opt for vinyl purely for the feel of it.

Seems useful to me. I haven't gotten a chance to read through everything yet but have they gone over the sticker technique ( I mentioned it in the old thread )

I have a friend who DJ's and mixed the use of two iPods and CDs. What bothers me is that he isn't adding anything to the songs and is just putting them out there and playng gigs to get money. Doesn't feel right to me you know? Could just be me, but I think you should show some instrumentality to the art form, turntablism especially.

Also does anyone know of a way to attempt scratching with a standard record player (old school vinyl records?) Edit: By that I mean, a record player without a shifter in the center to pan from one vinyl to the next one.

That's what I'd like to get into a bit more because eventually I want to take my EDM to the stage but I'm not sure about how to go around doing that just yet.

Never stop creating.

Interested to know how fast people mix there tracks. Generally with drum and bass I leave a track on for around 1 minute 30 secs before I switch, i think that's pretty slow though
