Headphone Ear Pads Are Spinnin Out

my akg k550 headphones.
the ear pads on them can bloody spin 360 degrees.
i don't know if they are meant to do this. is this a problem?

today i noticed that the L and R icons inside the headphones were rotated

as opposed to being straight like this http://i.ytimg.com/vi/8dZlFylqgnU/maxresdefault.jpg

are my headphones meant to do be able to do this?

when i rotated my ear pads back to a straight position, it may just be an illusion in my head but i think i can hear music clearer now so i'm a bit concerned.

I have a pair of AKG K240's, and the ear pads can easily be replaced, so I think them rotating is normal, and it shouldn't affect sound quality at all. I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah they're probably meant to do that, i'd say they're not glued on so the pads are easy to replace and modify
