Everyone is going to project their ideas into the suggestion bar...so you're going to get a mish-mash of a bunch of different shit that are wildly different from one another.
Take a step back for a second...what would YOU like to see in a fighting game?
With that in mind...has it been done before? Like, has it been done TO DEATH?...if so, what could you do to make it different?
If it hasn't been done before, then you need to jump on that shit and DO IT before it becomes a million dollar kickstarter project that's buttfucking the indie game scene.
I look at the idea of a Toy Fighting game with indifference, if nothing else but for the reason that the first word that comes to mind is "childish." I think of Pixar's Toy Story, I see bright and colorful things....
...but if done with a creativity and imagination, you could have a really cool idea on your hands...
...Like, "Ohh, I'm going to make a fighting game with clay animation figures." and just the idea sounds laughable...but it happened and it was a really popular game back in the day. Clay fighters. It kinda came out of left field and it didn't even do anything horribly new or innovative with fighting games, but it left a memorable impression because of its STYLE.
So you gotta think about your presentation... set the tone; WHO IS YOUR AUDIENCE? Is that target demographic the EXCLUSIVE target audience you're aiming for, or will it be accessible to a wide range of ages and personal tastes?
The Futurama game idea, fuck that, be original. Even with the Fantasy fighting game, just make sure you're not straight up lifting from Tolkien or Warhammer/Warcraft.
Be creative. Be original. Be imaginative. Make it yours!
