The more I dig through threads, the more PC programs I find. Are there any Mac programs for making games? I just downloaded the lite version of Game Maker 2 so I'll be tackling that.
And, of course, is there a difference to studying programming from a Mac than a PC?

I'd say it's easier to study/program in Mac for the sole reason of Vendor Lockout (Apple does not allow you to make games for their iOS unless your on a mac)
