That's one of the problems. Our government is lying to us and the world. It actively funds and arms the same "terrorists" we then fight. They would love few things less than having another full blown deployment in the Middle East.

This is true. In many cases the US creates the "bad guys" in the first place so they can then play hero by going after them later. They arm them, train them, and everything. The US government creates the problems so they can then be the "solution" to those problems later. Think about that.

The Nazis weren't really unambiguously evil though, at least at the time. I mean, yeah, they wanted to invade a load of German speaking countries, but tbf they had had a lot of land that was arguably rightfully theirs taken away after WW1. Yes, the government was a fascist autocracy, but that really wasn't that unusual at the time in Europe - Italy, Spain and Portugal all went the same route. Yes, they were racist and vociferously pro-eugenics but at the time pretty much everyone, even the liberals in the First World were too (ie: George Orwell, Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow WIlson). Life for a black man in the American deep south wasn't any better than life for a Jew in 1930s German.
Germany then probably didn't seem any more objectively evil than ISIS does now (which is probably why America didn't join the war until Japan brought it to America). Proof that history is written by the winners, that the Holocaust gets it's own name but what Americans did to Natives and what we British did to the Irish isn't even called genocide.

The disagreement I have in your statement comes from the fact that these are the same kind of terrorists behind 9/11 and other attacks against the U.S. and its interests, only more brutal.
They are probably already stronger than Al Qaeda was on September 10, 2001, and Norway is on alert for an imminent attackfrom ISIS--make that Islamic State.
If we don't take action, we could be looking at 9/11 times 100.

You know that containment dome from The Simpsons movie? We need to do that but with like the whole Middle-East and a good part of North Africa. Then, once that's done, let them do as they want while the rest of the world moves on. Pretend they don't exist for a while, and come back in 20 years and they've probably already killed themselves off anyway.
