It's going stronger now that the WCH is on...and the NHL will be starting soon ( I hope) or at least the WHA for a while...and the CHL too...All we live for is hockey basically...That's all i live for...so I assume it's the same for all of you....lol

My respect for the players in the NHL has dropped by about 100%. If the players and their damn union only care about the money, not the game, they shouldn't be playing in the first place. Greedy bastards.

Yes a salary cap would be good...but eventually it'll be broken and all hell will break lose...I jsut want this solved and to be done with and never to happen again. I just hope they come to some agreement BEFORE i go mentally insane...

Just to throw my oppinion out there, There does need to be a salary cap, and it needs to be around $1,000,000. Most people can live comfortably of considerably less... Well, alot less, like 800,000 + less. Sure you can have bonuses for hatricks or shutouts, but if your in the game for money, then get the fuck out of my game.

The only thing I agree with there is the not playing for money. I mean, they do deserve a lot...but not 10mill, I'd say 5mill maximum. The average salary is at about 1.7mill or something...and those are the players I see playing everyday trying their heart out...then there are guys like Jagr getting over 10mill a year, and he doesn't even like playing...He shouldn't be even coming close to playing with an attitude like that. If I made NHL (which will NEVER happen), I could understand getting 1-2mill...but after that, it just gets crazy and problems like this occur. It's the leagues fault for letting this get outta hand and not solving this sooner.

Yeah but remember a few things. 90% of the time it was being celebrated with player's friends and family, it was in Canada. Vincent, Brad Richards, St. Louis, where do you think they all took the cup? They took it home, where they were born. We all know the NHL no longer has anything to do with nationalities. It's more about what your favourite team is. Some Canadians have American favourite teams, so that goes to show you right there it has nothing to do with nationality.

We prove our skill when our team is all Canadian vs the world and that's what I care about more than anything.

Yea I heard about that, it's really kind of sad, seeing how we didn't win the cup last year :( that would've been a truely happy day. But I'm sure if it isn't playing this year, I surely will be next year, because people who own companies like that, usually just dont let it end when everyone says it's been ended. you know ?
