Moo.
So I am wondering what samplers give best sound for rock/jazz drumkits.
I am not looking for the most realistic sound but rather for something that gives feeling of high quality. Any thoughts?

If you really want good acoustic jazz/rock sound, this is the thing, you don't need to look anything else except this one: http://www.stevenslatedrums.com/
It's not that expensive, but the sound is immense.

Download Superior Drummer 2.0. You will thank me.

Superior Drummer is the most popular and has the most variety but also the highest price tag. I actually got to have a nice sit down with the president of toontrack, hes a really cool dude.
But anyways besides that I like these:
BFD
Zeus
Studio Drummer
DrumMic'a
Also guys we do not discuss piracy here... like at all. Just ignore if someone does and a forum mod will delete it eventually.

2. Stop advertising your own stuff.
1. I didn't actually recommend pirating the program. The download is kind of obligatory when it comes to online software shopping. Unless, of course, if you're buying a hard copy.
2. Whoops.
I use Native Instruments Battery 3 (There's a newer version available though)
The quality of the samples is pretty nice ( I like it more than ezdrummer) and has tons of libraries for you to explore different genres as well the ones you're interested for.
Here's a quick demo that I uploaded for you to check out, I didn't use any loops. Everything was made note by note via piano roll midi stuff.

I heard good about this drum kit for jazz. They say it's pretty realistic, but I haven't tried. http://straightaheadsamples.com/shop-2/sa-jazz-drums/
For rock, my vote goes for SSD.
