Oh hai, Mondo! ...did you get Gimp?
What are you using for your pen work? You should try out some different shading techniques. Scribble hatching will only take you so far. I like the turtle thing on page 1 though. Keep at it! ;)

Hey You..lol...i have photoshop..the picture was made in photoshop..i didnt spend to much time on it...and what kind of shading techniques should i try? i used hatching a lot because when I drew at work I draw with black gel pens... i dont know what else i can do with just black lol.
Dear Newground Admins... a lot has transpired since the last time i updated this thread. I would like to know if I can change the title of my thread please!!!
-----------------------------
In the meantime thanks for viewing my thread...here's a painting I did a while ago!! Used a random ref. of a lizard.
This is a WIP....inspired by the art weeklies thread....i decided to redraw an old character i drew either in 2001 or sometime before 2005. I miss that time in life where i used to just draw whatever and never cared for the technical side of drawing...
Work in progress...as of right now at this very moment.
That's some nice progress and studies you got there. :3
Keep it up!
here's a bullsh** sketch i did. found myself coloring it in while listening to CUDI ThE kID.....
here's a homework assignment i recently finished....i tend to not show anything school related.
completed... ish.....please critique so i know what to fix....i find it hard and overwhelming to tackle all aspects of what an art piece should have.....form, value, perspective, composition, etc.
head constructions while watching Xia Taptara on youtube.
copying shapes from feng zhu's creature design's tutorial, xia taptara's grunt drawing tut, and twisted grim tv animation...called badlogic.
just did
alphonso dunn's texture tutorial....was quite fun actually and i could learn from it since i use black ink like 90 percent of the time when drawing.
gesture drawings...tried to focus onbasic shapesand biggest shapes first....60secs lost some time on a few trying to flip to empty page in my sketchbook. used Quickposes hopefully one of these days i'll get that certificate!!!
perspective practice...again!!..this time i actually used a pencil.
Thanks to this I've been busy for the past hour or 2 and my hand is cramped but i'm pleased with the results even though they don't look as good as the original. i had to thicken some outlines because i noticed a few spheres were fused together after i finished. But i love that i've learned so many different techniques when using black ink. now on to the next project.
trying to analyze shapes using various sources Google, my downloaded pictures and searching the art portal...
