Newgrounds
Pros:
I like the community(of course there are exceptions)
I like the content sometimes
Cons:
The content sometimes is very shitty truth to be said and the blam system isn't helping to improve it most of the times.
Too edgy tryhards. There are some of them here,unfortunately.

Youtube
Pros:
Can find many,many things
People sometimes are funny
There are some really good youtubers.
Cons:
Immaturity
Generic comments
No porn

That list is too limited because I have no time to spend on making something like that. Everything's from the top of my head.

I like the community at NG, I hate the community at YT. I like the staff at NG, I don't know the staff at YT. I like most of the content on NG, I don't like most of the content on YT. I like the fact that you can upload an unlimited amount of video material to YT and customize the ways in which it is displayed/shared. At the same time, I like the fact that all submissions on NG actually get a response, because there isn't such a ridiculous amount of them as on YT. It's easier to filter out the good stuff.

YT: (Hate,dislike) Immature people all around it, no cool porn (well, not at all, but someone needs to give you link to it, because some of them are private or can be find only by gaven link)
(Like) We can find there if we search for some music, funny videos (not hard to find if can search)
Newgrounds: (Hate, dislike) Sometimes some people post here stupid swf movies of their talentless skill, not much of people on BBS is funny what is pretty sad, sometimes mean people.
(Like) Tons of cool games swf movies and that stuff, awesome arts, own forum what is pretty good, and... That the newgrounds is really fine website.

What I don't like about YouTube is how they steal stuff from this website! I suppose if the original person uploads it, it's not a big deal. The thing is, the most viewed cartoon on the Internet is Charlie The Unicorn and I do NOT think the original person who uploaded it to this website uploaded it there. Newgrounds: Not flooded with crap from celebrities like Nicki Minaj, and content that is bad is able to be deleted by popular vote. Also, more music, that is usually better.

Youtube: A lot of the time, you can find more professional content, and are allowed to post more than just flash.

Youtube has always had the largest userbase of video service providers going for them, as far as I know, they still do. I find the content allowed (and adsense) to be restrictive, tho'. I won't judge a userbase that is so vast. I haven't seen a comparitive list of them in years, though.

Newgrounds seems to have better for uploading a video without any plans on promoting it, it gets alot of views and is judged quick. though I've only uploaded one as an experiment and have taken it down, since.

I hate nothing about Ng. (Well of course I do) but I decided to focus on YT.
Lately I hate how youtube has incorporated icons and google+ accounts into everything, but considering that YT is owned by google this was inevitable. I also hate how the Top comment is usually the most stupid one and people just like it because well it already has so many likes they might as well too.
Also the YT commenters are usually idiots who cant see through a "troll" when it right in front of them.

YouTube's community is much larger than Newgrounds'. This has its own pros and cons.

Large Community Pros: More, fresher viewers with a wider range of tastes and much more focused on the content of the upload.
Large Community Cons: More kids, more advertisements, more mainstream content, no porn.

Small Community Pros: More maturity, higher standards for technical quallity, fewer advertisements, porn.
Small Community Cons: Harsher critics, fewer viewers, freaky/weird content.

Youtube - Bright color scheme - Nice, immature audience.
DeviantArt - Bright color scheme - Nice, somewhat mature audience.
Newgrounds - Dark color scheme - Cynical, mature audience.
Coincidence, or social/psychological factor?

YouTubes and DeviantArts layouts have completely different color though. YouTube has a layout that's not supposed to be seen, but rather put focus on the content, it's meant to be sleek and professional and very basic at the same time, all the while the logo is the only really graphical part. I guess they've tried to make it integrate seemlessly with the rest of the Google services, which are really all about service, not design. As for Deviantart, their page has a much more creative style to it, and the green color is linked with mood and emotion, something I suppose shares a bond with creativity and art. As for NG, it's the only really graphical one of the websites mentioned (and it takes three times as long to load), and as opposed to the two larger communities who focus on the design of content rather than the design of the site NG has a layout that's a spark of creativity in itself. The dark scheme was probably originally meant to look cool, or just dark, but it's become a trademark that I think conveys more of a message than regular design.

As for immaturity, I think most of it's on YT and DA since there is no moderation there. Anyone can upload anything, and the community is dependent on different channels and artists, in difference to NG there is no community as a whole. That's the way I see it...

The moderation is very reasonable
Cons:
Flash is dead
The Blam/Save feature is too lenient, and so garbage and spam gets passed regularly

Youtube
Pros:
There are more videos than Newgrounds could ever hope to have
Much bigger userbase
Cons:
Idiotic users that are almost impossible to ignore
It's run by puritans who close accounts and take down videos like there's no tomorrow

Newgrounds isn't a video sharing site, and Youtube isn't a flash portal. So all in all it's an unfair comparison.

Fun fact: The dark NG layout really goes back to DOS and dial-up BBS systems from the pre-web days. Our layout also conserves energy - it takes more power for your monitor and phone to light up bright white for a white site layout. So we're being both oldschool and progressive at the same time.

Needles to say, there are hundreds of copies of the same video on there, because YouTube allows that. NewGrounds doesn't.

The one with the most views has 65 million views and it's NOT by SecretAgentBob, by some guy named Geoff Swanson. Then again, he does credit SAB in the description.
