I have to voluntarily do breathe for the next 10 minutes. Until I forget about it.
Have any of you ever experienced this?

Now I have to breath manually, thanks a lot.
I'm able to continue as normal if I think about breathing
Happened to me once when I hotboxed in the back of a Mustang and started tripping; I had to focus on every breath because my mind couldn't keep up with my heartbeat and breathing simultaneously; I figured that's what it must feel like to be claustrophobic.
Kinda scary sheit
Are you not Entertained ?!?

But I try to not think about it because it causes my brain to be more occupied with that than really anything else. So then I end up missing a bunch of things around me or not hear when people are talking to me.

And our breathing techniques.
Over time, through meditating, I learned to be able to listen to my breathing without having to do anything with it. I can just watch what it is doing anyway.

Are you really thinking about your breathing?
Cause if you aren't, then of course you aren't.
It may be good for you to think about breathing from time to time. I know of at least one study (2006) which has suggested a connection between focused breathing and stress reduction.
