I also traded in my old car after 165,000 miles of dedicated service to absorbing my farts while I drove an hour to work every day. I was close to paying it off and found out there was still some value left in it beyond that. So I got this spaceship lookin thing that I'm sure @priusrepellent would approve of

I didn't take any pics of it outside. just some interior shots I sent to the spousal unit when I test drove it, but basically this is the same color/model i found online) It's a 2016 prius. My 2013 prius was the base model and like I said had a shit ton of miles. Never had any breakdowns. All I ever had to do was change the oil. But I had some money left in it and figured what better time to trade it in than before it actually causes trouble. Plus I got a good deal on a top trim one. Still getting used to some of the safety stuff they added. The cruise control will pace with any car in front of it even brakes down to a stop if there's bad traffic. And it yells at me if I get too close to the lane lines. It also beeps a bunch when I'm parking and getting close to stuff. (they also took out the spare tire, so I kept the one from my trade in. they at least kept the wheels the same size over the years).

Speaking of annoying beeps. Priuseses (Priuiii?) have this backup beeper that goes off in reverse but only inside the car, not outside. it's super annoying. I bought a Carista OBD2 thing. It gets into the car coding stuffs and can disable a few things that a dealership would totally charge a ton for. I turned off the backup beep and seatbelt warning and set it so all the windows open if I hold down the unlock key. Pretty nifty for $20

Played them a bunch on emu and decided to get physical copies. They were pretty expensive but they're my favs so it was worth (:

It's cool if you'd prefer not to answer, but out of curiosity, how much did you have to pay for that copy of Castlevania? I bought a copy several years ago, complete with the manual and I think it was in the region of £50 at the time, which made it one of the more expensive retro games I've ever paid for.

I pretty much gave up on game collecting a few years back because the prices for a lot of the stuff was just getting stupid.

I got it complete for €75 which is about €25 or so less than what I've seen it go for online here in Sweden. It's a lot more than I'd normally be willing to pay for a single game but since it's my favorite in the series, and I hardly ever see it - I decided to bite the bullet.

Yeah some prices are silly, I tend to stick to the cheaper stuff like SFC. You can still get SFC games dirt cheap even complete. Last game I got was a complete F-Zero on an online auction for €4 and it was damn near mint. I really only wish I had gotten into PCE/PCE-CD collecting before it got out of hand.

At least it's not a better time than now to get games for 6th and 7th gen consoles, apart from Gamecube.

My weekend project (today is my Sunday):

Adding a power lock to my truck tailgate and an extra tailgate protection thing so you can't just pull it off. Apparently tailgates are getting stolen at work lately. I'm sure it won't stop somebody who's really trying to take it but it'll at least slow them down and/or annoy them.

I have a 2017 Toyota Tundra SR5. Installing the power lock was pretty simple. it hooked right up to a mounting screw inside the tailgate right over the lock. Then it was a matter of running some 18G wire along with the wiring for the brakelights and backup camera all the way to the front of the truck. I'm not very mechanical or electrical but the whole thing was pretty easy for an idiot like me. The biggest hassle was removing a plastic kickplate in the cabin to reach the wiring I needed to get to. Fucker had these snap things that would not let go and there was carpet and the glovebox all in my way. Also the directions that came with the power lock had the wiring backward. When I went to test it out the unlock button locked it and the lock button unlocked it. Luckily I didn't have to worry about re-splicing wires - it had some quick release connectors right where the wiring met up with the lock so I just switched those. I find it a little odd that Toyota doesn't offer a power lock on their trucks, even the premium trims. All in all a pretty easy DIY job that I'm sure a shop would charge a good amount to do for you.

Possible future purchase, new exhaust fan for attic. Was up there and the fan wouldn't kick on. 60° outside, probably 90° up there now. I'm going to invest further tomorrow. There's power before and after the switch and there seems to be power running to fan. Seems an issue with the fan motor maybe.
