Fine, but will I get a chance to know if I make it or not? So I can upload it in time for the next competition. And once the contest is over, may i delete it off of newgrounds?

You can keep in SoundCloud for the auditions if you want. The main reason we want the auditions as NG submissions is for consistency since this is after all a Newgrounds competition but we can close one eye if it's for a good reason. However, once the contest starts, all 32 competitors have to upload their submissions on Newgrounds. This is because the NGADM judges will be reviewing them in their song pages. We'd use Soundcloud but I'm not even sure if every judge HAS a SoundCloud account and even then SoundCloud doesn't support ratings.

So yeah, long story short - you can leave your audition in SoundCloud now since you have a good reason but if you make it into the competition as one of the 32 competitors, then every song you upload in the competition has to be on Newgrounds.

The audition song can stay on Soundcloud.

All songs you make for the competition if you get into the actual competition must be on Newgrounds. No other songs are necessarily needed on Newgrounds, though if you want to put more on here, go right ahead!

Hopefully that clears it up.

Hmm I'm having trouble picking a song. Does anybody have any suggestions/advice to give me so that I can decide on the 'best' song? I should add that I'm caught between three different submissions.

If you're having trouble picking between three tracks, grab a 6 sided dice and have it so that if the dice lands on 1 or 2 will be one song, 3 or 4 is another and so on

Assuming this is still true, I plan to submit a remix which is not a MIDI rip and does not use samples from any external copyrighted source before the deadline, hopefully. This accommodates the current progress of a couple of my WIPs, while still showing off my improvement in various areas of production (again, hopefully). Last year gave me good practice on writing original works, so I'm not worried about my ability to do that, except structure-wise, but hey, maybe I'll improve some more this year.
