I've done a test with that gun and I theoretically can get 8 shots per second (calculated by how fast to empty the clip).
I've also done this with my paintball gun, putting just 18 rounds in the hopper, and I got about the same result; the gun fired two blank shots because I was too fast for gravity. :)

and then you get those assholes on call of duty that have a 17 shots a second pistol with a 18 extended clip and you are look at your characters head blow off even before you turn that corner and you sit there and begin to scream and rage at your controller
71 on first try, and I don't see any reason why I would need to click any faster than that.

Just curious: did the people how got 100's just finish playing an intense round of gaming or something? Because that would make perfect sense, not to say that 100 at idle brain speed is impossible. I got a 65 idling and my fingers may have been a bit stiff. I should totally play something and then try again.

I kept trying but i couldn't top my best which is 65.
My opinions are so useless, I don't even listen to them.
I can do 55 if I click normally- i.e left hand is uninvolved, wrist on the surface behind the mouse, all the other fingers touching the mouse: no muscles except those in the index finger are involved.
I could do 79 by holding the mouse sideways with the left hand and using both the index and middle finger to click.
Either I'm outta practice, my mouse sucks, or today is just not that day.
Related, anyone remember Test Your Might? It was a beeach in MK: Shaolin Monks. I was simply stuck in the game at one point because I could not press fast enough and kept mistiming it. That level! :o
