Using flash 8 a lot, I have encountered many glitches. It may be one of the easiest Flashes to work with, but the Adobe flashes have resolved quite a few (upon creating a couple as all programs do).

Flash 8 is (imo) the most stable flash programs. There is not way in hell cs5 will crash any less..Just click ctrl + s every 5 minutes or so.

My Flash CS5 hasn't crashed on me yet. Maybe you just don't have a good computer? Either way, any version Flash 8 and up is good.
