Peacock's neutral game is ass. She has no effective way to defend herself from pressure either.

All she needs is cerabella as an assist to send you flying across the screen, then she fills the screen with crap until you die or time runs out.

Are you talking about the ass slam assist? It has 2 frames of vulnerability, it's punishable.

Once again, if a Peacock is throwing that out at the neutral game, you can easily Punish it/apply pressure appropriately.

I'm in love with this game. There's very few flaws I found, and the gameplay is some of the most fluid I've ever experienced. Anyone excited about the potential DLC where all the threads of fate converge that was hinted at in doubles ending? I'd also really like to see the Black Dahlia as DLC.

Squigly and Umbrellla are confirmed DLC. Panzerfaust and Big Band are heavily hinted at by Mike Z as well.

I would love to see blach Dhalia as well though!

I thought all the endings would intertwine in one big story mode royale seeing as some of them left off on cliffhangers. Also DLC characters are Quiggly and umbrella. You can google search squiggly, as for umbrella it's parasoul's sister.

Also I got to customizing some good combos. I managed to make a 10 hit ground-to-air juggle with peacock, and a 16 hit ground-to-air special move wall bounce with ms.fortune. I really like the flexibility. Unfortunately im no freak so I can't make 32 hit combos like the ones im constantly put under X(
However im quite good at catching openings and using them to my advantage. And I think I have mastered Ms.Fortunes head. I know how to incorporate it in combos, I just can't find many uses for her sneeze attack. The nom nom nom grab works wonders though.

Here a wiki on Squigly. She was suppose to be part of the original 8, shes delayed for DLC.

Don't know if anyone knew but the skullgirls slightly different edition launched some time back. It includes a built in moves list, balance tweaks, and new colors. More importantly a new difficulty mode and the boss can finally be stunned.

More recently, Skullgirls has sold well! Cheers guys, A PC port is on the way. They say it will take 4 months to develop and release it.
However, in a report a while back (its actually above me) Reverge mentioned that the DLC character squiggly will appear along side the PC release.

Reverge has started a new campaign for Skullgirls with a goal of $150,000. Donate here!
The idea is to fund for the new DLC character squiggly. If the campaign reaches it's goal Squiggly will be free DLC across all platforms. More details in the link.
This is an indiegogo campaign so you get prizes depending on how much you donate.

If you're a TF2 player $30 will net you a free complimentary hat (If you're a TF2 player you know how valuable that is)
It will also get you a free PC copy of the game.

$50 will get you all of the above and an exclusive poster, a copy of half minute hero, a sketchbook and all the above mentioned prizes.

Hmmm. They're pumping out concept characters like crazy. They're just setting me up to get my dreams crushed, if it takes this long and is this difficult for only one character then I dont think they can make all 6.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I think you're reading that wrong.
If they manage to reach $150,000 they'll release Squigly.
If they manage to reach $370,000 they'll release Big Band.
If they manage to reach $600,000 they'll release a third character. Which character it is, is voted by the community.
The mysterious characters they're revealing are the characters that the community will be able to vote on if they manage to reach $600,000.

Aha. I knew the character releases couldn't all come at once. I feel as though it can reach that goal $370,000 easily. $600,000 would be rad as hell.
However the game needs black dahlia as a playable character since she is teased in peacocks ending. And besides, the game only has 1 playable villain character. And she isn't very interesting.

I would be really surprised if they didn't get to $600,000. They're already at $150K and it's only been going for about a day now.

DAMN!!!!!! This definitely looks like the kind of 2d fighter that could revitalize the genre, aside from MvC! The artistic rendering ALONE makes it standout among games in general. Because of this, I REALLY hope this comes out as an anime, because the CHARAS. themselves are so interesting.

You didnt do yourself any favors picking parasoul. if your new the best character to practice with would be filia or ms. fortune. also head over to the tutorials.

Yee haw! A generous person or group of people got together and purchased the 'divinity' tier. A whopping $7,500! Because of this person Big band has now been funded!
I am of course referring to the indiegogo page above. Another 25K and big band will get a story and we will be treated to a new stage.
Also for those of you not keeping track the Skullgirls team is creating a new stage to thank players. The river king casino and it will arrive free, though it will arrive most likely with the patch that brings squiggly.

Same here now. And I'm gradually moving up to hard difficulty with Peacock. Think I'll just switch characters when I can beat story mode on hard.

Does anyone know how to unlock the skins 9 and 10 for characters?

I am very creative but I usually need help with the details.

I'm thinking of dropping 50 bucks on this to get the pc version and some goodies, i was never really good at fighting games so I wanna know how acessible this one is. Im decent at mortal combat and the like but this comes of as more of an MvC type game. I'll still probably get it cause it looks real fun and original and I like the developers as my buddy is on the team, i'm just worried I'll get wrecked every match I play, any tips for getting good?

Squiggly alpha gameplay has been released. She doesn't have attacks, transitions, and some poses are not colored in. But there she is.

Play the demo on the playstation store or Xbox arcade. The game is easily accessible and offers plenty of tutorials for beginners.
-You can pick a team of 1-3 characters.
1 character will be super strong but has the disadvantage of no tags
3 characters are weak but have strength in numbers
-The game has anti infinites to be tournament worthy so online play doesn't result in cheaters
Those are important to note.

Play story mode first and visit arcade mode for abit before jumping into online play, naturally.
-Parasoul is a bad first character. People seem to gravitate to her when they first start.

The game allows for you to create combos so enter practice mode and make some up. Every character has one launcher to throw enemies in the air, jump with the launcher to air combo.
Here's a basic ground to air combo to remember:
Ms.fortune:
Light punch + medium punch + heavy kick + jump+ medium kick + heavy kick.
