So I saw in some retarded internet IQ quiz some people's IQ's. And there was Andy Warhol's there, he had a score of 86.
Is there anything backing up this? I mean, did he even make that IQ test?
Andy Warhol died in 1987. The Internet as it is known today began to take shape in the 1990s. He would not have taken that IQ test. He may have taken a real test, though.
Since I like most of his stuff, I find it hard he had such a low score. Even though I don't really believe you can truly measure someone's intelligent with such a test.
Thoughs?
The measurement of intelligence itself using an IQ test is very controversial. Experts can't agree on its usefulness and the general consensus is that intelligence is more difficult to measure than a simple number. Intelligence is not limited to one thing. There are multiple types of intelligence. Someone may be a terrible mathematician, but a great writer or may be amazing at logical problems, but hardly able to speak.
A simple IQ test is one-dimensional while true intelligence is three-dimensional, if it helps to think of it like that. Nearly everyone is proficient in a certain kind of intelligence and none are intelligent in every way, although Leonardo da Vinci was the closest to earning that title.
That being said, attempting to measure three-dimensional intelligence with a one-dimensional test loses the little credibility it did have when it is taken online on websites which attempt to lure you in by telling you the supposed IQ scores of celebrities.
