I'm making a flash game similar to super smash bros and I was wondering if I should use box2d or just make the physics myself.

Well if you want complex physics (beyond any ssmb game) then you should use it. For basic gravity I don't suggest it.
Actually if you are proficient enough with the engine, it does makes a lot of sense to use it for a platformer. It allows you to focus in the gameplay aspect of the game.
I'm developing a game that uses box2d as its physics engine and so far is just awesome.

You are welcome.
Great example...you see I'm not the only one who thinks Box2D is awesome!
Well I decided to make my own physics and its much easier than I thought. It's turning out very well.

This is a five year old thread. Please don't bump them with useless replies.
