Mcdonalds probably could sue Newgrounds, but it would be pretty frivolous... they aren't degrading Mcdonald's much. The media would be over it and NG would get lots of attention for their money anyway.
Also, NG gets a lot of visitors, Fulp has a legal archive... in the end McDonalds would lose a lot of sales. Nothing to worry about.

When you said Big Mac, I assume you're refering to the 3 hamburgers posted in the Ezine ad. I don't think McDonalds can prove those are their burgers. For all they know Tom could've used a picture of a hamburger he made and used that.
However, I do have to admit defeat with the golden arches appearance in the Featured Movies section. That's obviously them. I probably should've taken a closer look at the front page before I made my last statement.

Who knows what corporate lawyers are able to do. I've heard they could even convince judges to ignore scientific fact and rule in their favour. Still they would get no profit from suing Newgrounds and you're right in the fact that McDonalds isn't been degraded. Quite the opposite in fact.
