Hmm... The only Disney girls I remember from that age were Minnie Mouse and Clairebelle Cow... When drawing human characters, like Snow White, Disney did a really different approach...

Except for the fact that I haven't drawn an elephant seriously since kindergarten. Or maybe never.
To get references for a picture, I have to draw in a badly illuminated room... So I had to draw this practically without seeing properly what I was drawing.

You took it a little too literally! Just an old-fashioned cartoon style, not necessarily Disney's. He was just an example. People can be done in a similar style to the old Mickey.
