Got my Atreyu mousepad yesterday. It's pretty awesome. Then my friend let me get another on her account. I asked my mom and she was like "You already got one, why do you want another?" "Because it's free."

You fucked up, there was a little box on the side of the payment options where you put the promotional code and it goes to a different screen.

Essentially this is telling me I can't get a mousepad because I'm a recluse.

Alright, I'll tel you what I did:

First, I entered all my credit card information and whatnot, then It took me to preview my order before I finished. I realized it was $10, so I clicked the button to send me back to the previous page. I entered in the code, and it just refreshed the page, and instead of my credit card info being at the bottom, it was only one scroll bar saying "Paypal or Credit Card", and that was the only option.

When I went to the finishing page, it said my payment method was Paypal, although it still gave me the discount which was $0. Therefore, I finished.

Anything wrong with what I did?

I think that's all good, I thought you meant you entered the information and paid, just because I was doing the same thing until I went back and found it out, should be good.
