Welcome to the Alchemy thread,

Alchemy is a drawing programme that is classed as "Experimental"
It is aimed at viewing how we sketch/draw our artwork on the computer.

There are many useful functions that you can use, including the mirror effect.
As it is Experimentla, there is NO undo or eraser!
This means what mistakes you make, stays there!

see if you can spot any in the example!

If you dont already have Alchemy download it from the official site here!

I think you mean the symmetry thread, but Alchemy does not neccesarily creat symmetrical images.

I was about to make a thread like this the other day, but I guess you beat me to the punch. Well, anyway, I'll post some stuff on here, I really like Alchemy, I think it is a really fun program to work with.

Alchemy is real swell, thanks for the recommendation. I'm lovin' the mirror mode, lol. I wish there was a way to use pressure sensitivity to control opacity, other than that it's an aweso program!

I shouldn't do this when I'm too tired ...

just got alchemy today, it's realy weird and takes some getting used to. but its realy groovy to look at and offers great possibilities. here's allitle something i managed to create which wasent to abstract.

I would like to try and tidy them, but i sorta like the Abstactness,
It took me time to get it right, im not that good in photoshop.

I also has somthhing, edgy about it, as the skull doesn't look human.

I have to say though, im not that fond of alchemy... I love the program, but it just doesnt correspond with my style/method of drawing...

How are you guys getting color? Are you just retouching it in photoshop or something?

thats one possibility, you can also just select the color you want in alchemy...theres no fill tool or anything though, so coloring works the same as the normal drawing.

Nah it's not at all, its just random stuff.

Btw how do you keep redoing stuff? I am not liking Alchemy because it doesnt have an Undo feature..

Pah, Its the same as photoshop, but different features?
And you cant really callone drawing programme nerdy, where theres a whole host of other things on the fourum that could be classed as "nerdy"
