My college is full of 4channers and other internet regulars who also say LOL and other acronyms in person. I'm not really fussed as I've come to terms that the internet, in a lot of ways, has really become a part of pop culture - expect some teenagers to quote memes, acronyms, bandwagons, whatever. They'll quote whatever is popular, and even though it's not the most intellectual response somebody could take, it's okay; teenagers, overall, tend to be dumb.

There is (I assume) alot of fat chicks in my school who watched Master Cheif n' The Arby and once one of them was like "my roflcopter goes swoi swoi swoi swoi", and everyone laughed but me. My friends also say 'Epic Fail' so much it pisses me off. One of my buds also says owned alot cuz he's a LIVE addict.

Eh, I really don't find it as a big deal really. It's like a fad, it will die out eventually. Besides, I haven't heard no one say that out loud where I live.
