Waking up... 2009-12-05 22:35:31

Hey, art forum goers. This is my attempt to create a thread like "So there I was", where tons of people collaborate to create there own panels of art. I'll start off.

John had just woken up from his first night as a hobo. laying on a heaping pile of trash, he tried to recall the events of last night. Unfortunately his drinking had made his memory blurred.

Try to stick to the story and try not to create too many sub plots/characters, because that is what started to ruin "So there I was". Also, try to keep it clean of porn or dirty jokes. Try to use different styles for your panels, like one is cartoony or one is anime, but if you want to stick with one style that is fine, it was just an idea.

Picture 1 of 2.

Pic 2.

John staggered awake, only to feel a throbbing pain in his foot. t must've been from last night. No, it was from last night. How did he know? Well, it must've sparked his memory because before he knew it images were flying past his eyes. "Just think," he thought to himself. "Last night I had a home... How did this happen?"

His memory would soon tell.

Wow, this story is totally awesome.

/sarcasm

But seriously, what the hell is that it the bottom right corner of the second frame? Is it some sort of portal to hell?

Failed attempt at making his images in his eyes, I shouldn't have kept that lol.

he woke up, thought, wtf am i doing in this pile of trash..thought about what he needs to be doing(images in his eyes), then started swimming through a pool of blood

Hmm, maybe you didn't read what I wrote, some verification.

he wakes up, thinks wtf am I doing in this pile of trash, and tries to remember what append last night. Unfortunately he was too drunk last night and couldn't remember a thing. He gets up but notices that his foot is throbbing. It sparked something about last night and jogged his memory. Everything went before his eyes, thus the images in his eyes, and he was waiting to see why he was homeless. Blood is actually a wall lol, I suck at backgrounds.

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for trying to contribute to the thread!

Quick one.

As they think, John snaps his fingers. "I have the perfecto plan!" he said. His two friends wondered if it was a good idea to trust him but went with it anyway.

Obligatory black friend suggests donating some of the money, but John has bigger plans.

Okay there is a few things that should be done, Names, only one character has a name yet, i vote we keep obligatory black friend for comedic affect.
Try to keep the randomness down, randomness ruins every single one of these threads

I'm lookin at you gum

had to do it lol.

His girlfriend finally meets up with him, while he's at his house wrestling a bear. she might also be confused about the ninja too...

Now this is just going too far.
I suggest skipping Synnxile's and havegum's pieces (sorry guys) just to get the story back on track.

Okay, I'll be the one to do it as I was the one who sidetracked D:

Then John said: "We should go claim the reward first!"

Take a look at other story threads like "The Never Ending Journery", it's sequel and "So there I was".
They may start with some potential, but then people start to add random crap that has no relevance whatsoever and it causes the story to downward spiral into a piece of crap.

Response to Waking up... 2009-12-06 17:13:40

Lets skip to the part where people are finished discussing and are actually contributing to the thread by giving critizism and continuing the story ...

Also to people not taking part: stop trying to jeopardise the thread.

unfortunately I do not want this to turn into TNEJ where it turned so random it wasn't even funny. I want to actually stick to a story and make it into a flash movie when all this is done, so everyone please try to stay on topic. Be funny, but stay on topic.

After claiming his money, John walks out with piles of green. "HELL YES!!" he shouts, not believing how lucky he is. They now had to spend it on SOMETHING.
